Who can access my horse’s Equipass?
Access to a horse’s Equipass is strictly controlled. The current owner, as officially declared to the FEI and recorded in the FEI Database and documentation, along with the designated horse manager, are the primary persons authorised to access the horse’s Equipass. This ensures that access rights align with official FEI records and recognised roles.
The declared owner or horse manager can grant access to other contributors. Contributors may include veterinarians, grooms, transporters, or other trusted parties. Equipass allows access via a unique QR code, which can be generated for each contributor. The owner can decide who can access the records, what information they can see, and for how long. Access is fully time-limited, scope-controlled, and can be revoked at any time, ensuring that sensitive identification and health information remains secure and is shared only when necessary and appropriate.
